Through a design-build contract, Layton constructed the new Football Center at the University of Utah. This elite training facility is the home of the University’s PAC 12 football team and built to meet the needs of the players and coaching staff.

The athletic center includes state-of-the-art strength and conditioning equipment, aerobic equipment, and a speed training track. The coaches offices and meeting rooms, as well as team meeting and wellness areas, are designed and built to create the type of environment needed for a winning PAC-12 program.

Additional features include a sports medicine and rehabilitation area, hydrotherapy pools, equipment storage, locker rooms, a player’s lounge, kitchen and dining areas, and media accommodations.

The design of the center includes the use of high energy efficient equipment, windows, and insulation and achieved a LEED Silver certification.

The University of Utah Eccles Football Center features 47,000 square feet of meeting space includes offices, a team auditorium, and offense and defense meeting rooms.
The University of Utah Eccles Football Center features an 11,500-square-foot, 250-seat cafeteria.
